Born in Boulder, CO, Roofnest looked to FRNDS to help take a piece of the coveted roof top tent market. Stepping into the ring with behemoth competitors is no small task for a slim team, but FRNDS was ready to take on the challenge.
Rooted in adventure and inclusivity, FRNDS poked fun at the hardcore overlanders and celebrated the weekend warriors, helping Roofnest take on an entirely new consumer in the industry.
How do we take a piece of the pie in an industry owned by heritage brands 100x the size of us? We invite the car campers, the prius owners, and the weekend warriors into an industry guarded by arrogant overlanders.
FRNDS helped Roofnest build and target an entirely new consumer base in the rooftop tent industry. Building a strategy around inclusion and getting away, instead of lifted trucks and big tires, we brought roof top tent camping to the masses. FRNDS captured cross platform photo and video content featuring normal cars, normal people, and normal campsites to show our audience that anyone and everyone deserves to camp in comfort.
We ate a few smores around the campfire too.
